BOOKING THIS SERVICE
Please call 0800 70 70 60 and ask to book a dial a driver or book with us online using the below enquiry form. Please provide us with your name, phone number, where you are and where you would like to go.
We charge by the kilometre, so you are welcome to call us for an instant quote calculated using your pick-up and drop-off address details.
Step One
Once you have booked a Dial A Driver, a team of two professional drivers will arrive to pick you up. One driver will drive you and your passengers in your own car to your desired destination. Most of our teams are male and female combinations
Step Two
The second driver will be following safely behind you and your vehicle, recording the kilometres travelled and carrying eftpos/credit card facilities. The following vehicle can also comfortably fit up to four more passengers for no additional charge.
Step Three
If you have planned stops along the journey, such as food pick ups or passenger drop offs, please let us know at the time of booking or when our driver picks you up so we can accurately schedule our service.
Step Four
Once arrived at the final stop, we finalise payment via cash, EFTPOS, credit card or taxi chit voucher, return your keys and look forward to seeing you again soon. If you enjoyed the service you received from your driver, you are most welcome to ask for the same driver again in the future.
Pricing
Our Dial A Driver service is charged by the kilometre with prices starting from $45 for the first five kilometres and vary for cash and card payments.
A waiting fee is charged at $1 per minute if our drivers have to wait over five minutes since making contact with you upon arrival. This fee also applies for stops along the way.
For a 10 kilometre trip, we charge $60 for cash payments or $65 for eftpos or credit card payments. This is a typical price for a journey from the Central City to central Auckland suburbs such as Mount Eden or Mount Albert.
For a 15 kilometre trip, we charge $80 for cash payments or $85 for credit card or eftpos payments. This is a typical journey from the Central City to mid-Auckland suburbs such as Glenfield or Stonefields.
For a 25 kilometre trip, we charge $125 for cash payments or $128 for credit card or eftpos payments. This is a typical journey from the Central City to outer-Auckland suburbs such as Greenhithe or Botany
Additional charges may apply:
$45 Call Out Fee - This fee applies should our drivers arrive at the pick-up location and you decide to cancel the trip without prior notice to the driver or operator.
$150 Soiling Fee - This fee applies if either your own car or one of our vehicles is soiled
$1.50 per KM after 25KM from the Auckland CBD to your pick-up point may apply
$20 Heavy Truck or Trailer fee - where a class 2 licensed driver is required for driving heavy trucks or trailers
